Personal Bio

Hi all,

I was born 24 April 1964  in Queensland and still consider myself a Queenslander even though I have not lived there since joining the RAAF in 1982. The scary thing is that some of you were not born when I even joined so thanks for making me feel old (pity I don't feel that old).

I enjoyed my time in uniform immensely and still have many great memories from over my 21 years. I was orignially an Avionics Technician and then went for my commission and became an Engineering Officer. Didn't get to travel as much as I had hoped in my earlier years but still had a great time. I decided to resign so that I could be near my daughters.

Yes, that's right. I was married for nine years and have two wonderful teenage daughters. I am extremely blessed to have my ex-wife as one of my best friends and my only regret is the pain that I caused her and my girls when I realised that I had to leave the relationship to be true to myself.

I came out in 2001 and found the whole RAAF organisation to be very supportive. Way too many people to thank individually but the people I worked with were fantastic. I only wish there was something like this when I was going through the  process of coming out. And my life has just continued to get better.

I have a wonderful man in my life now, a great job and also a great family.

Please don't be strangers and if there is anything that you want to see in the Victorian part of the website, don't hesitate to contact me and I will see what I can do about having it loaded on.

All take care and look forward to meeting you all at some stage.

Regards

Pete
