Flying Officer Connor Haas enlisted in the Royal Australian Air Force in January 2015 as a Gap Year Air Base Protectionist. After completing his initial military and employment training in RAAF Bases Wagga and Amberley, Connor was posted to 2 Security Forces Squadron at RAAF Base Townsville. Connor commissioned in December 2015 as a Personnel Capability Officer and commenced officer training through the Australian Defence Force Academy (ADFA) in 2016. Connor graduated ADFA in December 2018 with a Bachelor of Business and was awarded the Returned and Services League Sword for Service for his contribution to the Academy over his three years. Connor is currently posted to the Directorate of Workforce Planning – Air Force in Canberra and is studying a Master of Ethics and Legal Studies.

Connor has been a passionate member of the LGBTI community since his first year at ADFA. After demonstrating his commitment to diversity and inclusion at ADFA throughout 2015, Connor was appointed as the Cadet-in-Charge of the Academy LGBTI Community in 2016. During his tenure, Connor introduced LGBTI training and awareness packages for trainee officers and staff, held a number of large networking events and implemented an ADFA Staff Guide for the Management of LGBTI Trainees, the first of its kind within the ADF.

Connor has been an active member of DEFGLIS since 2015 and was appointed to the Board of Directors in 2019. Connor currently holds the office of Communications Director.
