Ticket sales are closing very soon for the Military Pride Ball - the gathering where you can be proud of who you are, as we recognise diversity which forms the rich tapestry enhancing capability in Defence.
This year the Human Right Commissioner, Mr Edward Santow, will address the gathering to recognise 25th anniversary of open gay, lesbian and bisexual service in the Australian Defence Force.
The Military Pride Ball is an annual formal gathering that connects the Defence LGBTI community, families, and supporters of diversity and inclusion. Now in its third year, the event promotes a safe workplace for everyone, professional networking and exchange of best-practice ideas.
By bringing this sector of the community together, we seek to generate a culture of inclusive leadership and promote visible support for LGBTI people in the workplace. The gathering is the only annual event of its kind that provides a significant opportunity for LGBTI personnel and families to hear from senior leadership.
The event will be held on 23 September 2017 at the SMC conference and function centre. Winter mess kit for military members, or dress to impress!
This event is proudly supported by PricewaterhouseCoopers - a Platinum Tier employer in the Australian Workplace Equality Index.
We are also proud to partner with Defence Pride - an LGBTI and Ally network for Defence employees.
Tickets are still available but we are almost at capacity for this event. Grab your tickets before they all dissapear.
