Sydney - Mardi Gras 2016

The Sydney Mardi Gras Parade is one of our biggest annual events with members and Defence personnel from all around Australia flying in to take part in celebrating diversity and promoting inclusion within the workforce. If you want be part of the Defence and DEFGLIS team, encouraging others to be the best that they can be - whomever they are - Mardi Gras is a great opportunity to do exactly that.
We're still confirming the rallying location and we will e-mail you information as soon as it becomes available
Timings
1630h - Arrive rallying location, opportunity for personnel marching in uniform to change
1700h - Busses Depart (if you miss the busses you won't be able to join)
1730h - Sizing of divisions and photographs in Hyde Park
1800h - Refreshments served, opportunity to view other floats in start area or purchase dinner
1900h - First float steps off
2200h - Return to rallying location (all uniformed personnel must return to change)
2205h - Hot supper served
2359h - Bar closes
APS and Family Contingent (DEFGLIS and Defence Pride Attire)

DEFGLIS and Defence Pride branded polo shirts can be purchased through our online store and will be delivered at the rallying location on arrival and at the annual mixer the night before.
Uniformed Contingent

Navy - Summer Ceremonial S3 (nameplates, ribbons, officer & senior sailors: white long sleeve coats, junior sailors: long sleeve white, blue collar, black scarf)

Army - General Duties 2E (polyesters, short sleeves, name plates, ribbons, khaki hat fur feld brim down)

Air Force - Service Dress 1C (short sleeves, name plates, ribbons, peak/womens cap)
