As another year comes to an end and the silly season is upon us, I thought it was time that we all stop and think before we start planning our Christmas and New Years Eve parties.

Parties are designed to be fun, but it's no fun if you are pulled over by the police on the way home or end up in hospital.

Here are a few tips that will help make sure you arrive home safely.

Defence PTSDThis month, Defence will hold its inaugural ADF Mental Health Day on 10 Oct and launch a documentary on PTSD. Major General John Cantwell also releases his autobiography that talks about his brave struggle with PTSD and depression.

On Friday 21st September, LEUT Jennifer Macklin (RANR) represented the Australian Defence Force and DEFGLIS in the highly prestigious event, 'Fruitful Love' held at the National Film and Sound Archive in Canberra. The event included many well known Canberra artists and high profile participants such as Michael Kirby, Andrew Barr and Robyn Archer.
