Squadron Leader Luke Headley was appointed in the Royal Australian Air Force in June 2006, and is currently serving as a Personnel Capability Officer. After completing his initial officer training at Point Cook and employment training at RAAF Base Wagga, Luke was posted to No. 84 Wing RAAF Base Richmond. Subsequent postings included Air Movements Training and Development Unit at RAAF Base Richmond, No. 24 Squadron at RAAF Base Edinburgh, No. 92 Wing at RAAF Base Edinburgh, Defence Force Recruiting Centre Townsville and Headquarters Combat Support Group RAAF Base Amberley. He currently serves as a Career Manager in Personnel Branch – Air Force, Canberra. In January 2020, Luke will post to No. 23 Squadron RAAF Base Amberley as the Executive Officer. 

Luke’s key operational deployments have included Visits and Protocol Officer in Headquarters Joint Task Force 633, Watch Commander in Headquarters Joint Task Force 639 and Staff Officer to Commander Air Task Group 630. He has also completed a Masters of Business.

Luke has been an active member of DEFGLIS since 2010 and was appointed to the Board of Directors in 2019. Luke currently holds the joint office of Education and Policy Director.
