Gillian Cosgrove-White and her partner Rachael first met when they were 20 years old but they lost touch when Gillian moved to Tasmania and Rachael joined the Royal Australian Navy.

Fast forward some 13 years. The couple reconnected on social media, got married and are raising three children together, including twenty-year-old Corban from Gillian’s first marriage.

DEFGLIS National Events Director Andy Maskell introduces himself, discusses his previous successes and reveals his plans for events in 2019.

I joined the Royal Australian Navy in 1995, enlisting as a Writer. I’ve served on a number of ships and establishments, including HMAS Arunta, Ballarat, Stuart, Sydney, Choules, Cerberus, Kuttabul, and Stirling– Wow! That is a lot.

Board member Karen Dwyer speaks about role models, authenticity and trust on Lesbian Visibility Day.

I’ve never really warmed to the term ‘lesbian,’ but that doesn’t make Lesbian Visibility Day any less significant for me.

I’m ashamed to admit that I once scoffed at the notion of such a day. Another diversity day? Just add it to the list. I don’t need a day for being a lesbian. 'Newsflash Karen - the day is not about you', I thought.

Well it is, and it isn’t.
